Established in 1989, CELT (Centre for English Language Teaching) is a family-run school based in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. Our school has nearly 30 years’ experience of welcoming students and is the longest established British Council accredited school teaching English in the city. We are members of English UK and the only school in Wales invited to join ‘Quality English’, an association of independently owned and managed language schools offering top quality English language courses.
We have two schools in the city – one for adults (18 and over) and the other for young learners (13-17). Both schools are open throughout the year and located close to the city centre with easy access to local amenities and facilities.
In terms of accommodation, most students stay with local homestay providers, but we also have two centrally-located small residences which the school owns and manages for students who want to be more independent.
Our staff try hard to meet each student’s particular needs and we always do our best to make each student feel part of the community of students and teachers that constitutes our school from the moment they arrive to the time they leave. We call it our warm Welsh welcome!
